While fundamental company criteria are a critical part of our vetting process, we pride ourselves on our personal approach. Unlike most private equity and other institutional buyers of middle market companies, we invest directly, draw from a small pool of savvy investors when appropriate and are closely involved in the businesses we acquire and with whom we partner.
We strive to realize long term value through a buy and hold strategy as an operating partner with a long term, often multi decade ownership period. Because of this, we generally do not disrupt successful business by adopting overly aggressive high growth or short term profit maximization strategies.
While we will consider transactions nationwide, our primary focus is on acquiring companies in Wisconsin.
We prefer companies with the following criteria:
- History of profitability
- EBITDA range of $1M – $5MM
- Manufacturing, technology, security services, real estate, standard product manufacturing. Overall, our approach to industry is agnostic with a focus on how we can add value to the long term success of the business.
- Strong management in place
